About…
Counselling can help with a variety of problems and issues. These can be everyday worries or stresses to larger problems we may need help with. Sometimes we may not know why we feel low and talking to someone impartial can help. I can offer you a safe and confidential space in which to explore any issues or difficult feelings you may have.
I am trained and qualified in Humanistic Counselling. I began practising as a Counsellor in 2015.

What I can help with
In the past I have worked with the charities Turning Point, Wiltshire Mind, Wessex Cancer Trust, and Macmillan. I have been working with Cancer Support Salisbury since 2021. Engaging with clients at these charities has given me experience in working with drug and alcohol addiction, depression, anxiety, chronic illness, disability, and cancer. As physical and mental health problems often exist alongside other areas I have also worked with the following:
Addictions
Anxiety and stress
Cancer
Chronic illness
Depression and low mood
Disability
Domestic abuse
Eating disorders
Emotional abuse
Life changes
Loss and bereavement
Low self-esteem
Relationship problems
Self-harm and self-neglect
Sessions
I offer 50 minute sessions on a short term or ongoing basis. I can offer face to face and/or video calling appointments. Sessions are usually weekly on the same day and at the same time each week. Frequency and number of sessions are something we can discuss so that the therapy is tailored to your needs.
Counselling via video calling is a little different from having sessions face to face. Instead of coming to a premises for your appointment I will send you an email with a link you can click on to start your session. Please make sure you are in a private space where you will not be disturbed or overheard.
As not every client and counsellor ‘gel together’ I can offer a free 15 minute initial discussion over the phone. This is to help address any worries and answer any questions you may have. Following this we can decide if we are a good fit to work together.
Fees
Initial 15 minute discussion via telephone: free
50 minute session: £50
Full time students: £45
Fees will be requested before the start of each session and accepted via either bank transfer or cash.
About Me
I have a Foundation Degree in Humanistic Counselling based on Transactional Analysis from Peter Symonds Adult and Higher Education College, Winchester. I am a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) with over eight years client experience. As a registered member of the BACP I abide by their ethical guidelines, requirements for Supervision, and continuing professional development.
Although I am trained in Transactional Analysis I adapt and tailor my skills to each client’s individual needs, taking a more eclectic approach. I work with my clients to ensure they can get the most out of their counselling sessions with me, and I endeavour to offer a space where clients can feel understood and accepted. This is done by offering my own genuine and professional self to facilitate the development of the therapeutic relationship.
I understand counselling can be a nerve-wracking process to begin. It can also be one of the best things you’ll ever do. Contact me today to discuss how I can help.
Office Location

Accessibility:
My office is on the ground floor. The buzzer to the front door is approximately 1.5 metres from the ground. There is a roughly 15 cm wide threshold into the room which is also about 2-3 cm high. There is a stiff door to pull open and the turn into the room is narrow if navigating in a wheelchair.
Please do not hesitate to contact me regarding your access needs so we can discuss how I can support you.
